Camera Data Usage
Your package includes a prepaid data bundle so the camera is ready for immediate use. How long the data bundle lasts depends on the usage and camera settings. Factors such as image quality (HD/2K/4K), live viewing, motion recordings, night vision and mobile network strength all influence data usage.
Average usage
Under normal circumstances, live viewing uses approximately 1MB to 5MB per minute. Cameras with higher image quality may consume more data than older models.
Practical examples
- Watching live 10 times per day for 1 minute = approximately 300MB to 1.5GB per month
- Occasional short viewing during competitions = data bundle often lasts several months
- Intensive use or foaling monitoring = significantly higher data usage
- 24/7 live viewing may result in several GB of usage per month
The examples above are indications based on average usage. Actual data consumption may vary depending on the camera, settings and situation.
